Save the date for Saturday morning, December 13th from 8 a.m. to 10 a.m.--Santa will make a special visit to Dickinson Elementary for some holiday fun! Wear your favorite PJs (optional), skip the long mall lines and join Dickinson PTO for a delicious pancake breakfast, catered by Ol’ Railroad Café. Don’t forget your camera so you can capture that special moment with Santa. Make fun holiday crafts, enjoy the chocolate milk bar, hear holiday stories, make reindeer food and save time to write a personal letter to Santa!
More information and tickets available to purchase online under Breakfast with SANTA. All attendees, parents and children aged 2 and up, must purchase a ticket to attend.
Our school will be taking the Eat The Rainbow Challenge during lunches the week of November 17th (next week!) and we need parent volunteers to help make it a success! Take this opportunity to come spend some time helping your child's class and other classes with the challenge.
Volunteers will keep track of how many fruits and vegetables students try each day on a provided tally sheet. Each day will be a different color and further instructions will be provided. Let's see how many colors of therainbow our students will eat in a week! The team with the most points will earn an extra recess!

Over 250 families have joined the PTO since the start of the school year, raising over $15 000 for our school! Ms Hopkins class was the first to 100% membership and was treated to an ice cream social with Dr Mumphord and Sue the Dolphin. Ms Dickson and Ms Kimpler's classes also reached 100% and all their students will receive a free home work pass. As the grade with the highest membership, all students in 2nd grade will be awarded their very own elite free dress day. Click through to Membership for full details.

We need photographs, graphic designers and Love Notes for the 2014/15 Yearbook. We are also looking for original artwork from 5th Graders for the front cover art contest by October 31st. Congratulations to Coach Rice on being voted the Teacher of the Month for August and to Kathryn Self on being voted the Volunteer of the Month for all of her hard work and commitment in making the car pool line safe and easy to use!

We need 2 parents per day to set up cones at 6:55 am—it takes about 15 minutes—bring your kids and Coach Rice will give them sports dollars! We need another 2 parents per day at 7:45 am to remove and store cones—takes about 10 minutes.
