We're raising funds for fantastic field trips, state-of-the-art technology and educational resources!
Dickinson PTO's MAIN FUNDRAISER for 2015 is the Boosterthon Dolphin Dash, which means no selling or delivering products. Family and friends anywhere in the world can support our school by giving pledges toward the number of laps your child will run on the day of the fun run (Friday, December 4th at 8:30 a.m.--Parents welcome to attend).
The Boosterthon Dolphin Dash program will last about 2 weeks. This week (week of November 16th), students will attend an exciting Pep Rally--and through Dec. 2nd, Dickinson families will have time to get pledges from friends and family. On the last day of the program, students will run in the "Dolphin Dash" Fun Run (Friday, Dec. 4 at 8:30 a.m.). Every student, no matter financial participation, is invited to run--and we encourage parents to attend the Fun Run!
Also, the Boosterthon Dolphin Dash Fun Run comes with a world-class character theme: BIG WORLD RECESS, a global fitness theme all about building character through sports. During the Fun Run program, students will travel our big world learning how to play with character from REAL kid-athletes in other cultures.
How Can You Support Dickinson Elementary?
#1. Register your child on funrun.com.
#2. Reach out to "sponsors"—or friends and family who could donate to help our school.
#3 Ask your child about the BIG WORLD RECESS Character Play of the day.
#4 Come cheer on your student at the Fun Run on Friday, December 4th, beginning at 8:30 a.m. PARENTS INVITED!
Look for the Boosterthon Dolphin Dash Pledgebook to come home in your child's folder this Friday (November 20th). Money raised will fund fantastic field trips, state-of-the-art technology and other educational resources for Dickinson Elementary that benefit all students and staff. Thanks in advance for supporting Dickinson PTO.

For those of you who missed out on the exciting announcement at Parent Night, the new fall fundraiser for the 2015-16 school year is Boosterthon. This is a fun and exciting in-school fun run that teaches kids about leadership and character. The event kicks off on November 18th with a pep rally, followed by week long lessons that are interactive and hands on, and ends with an in-school, pledge based fun-run on December 4th. Kids can win fun prizes throughout the week, minimal volunteer power is required, and it offers huge money raising potential for the school. The best part is all students get to participate regardless of the fundraising efforts.
Numerous sponsorship opportunities are available for Boosterthon and Dickinson Elementary PTO would be honored to feature your company as a Dickinson PTO sponsor. Details regarding sponsorship opportunities can be found by clicking through to the Boosterthon page.

In 2014-15, the Dickinson PTO collaborated with school administrators and local law enforcement, and purchased orange cones to help ensure a safer, more efficient "commute" for the morning car rider drop-off line. A big thank you to the Dickinson Cone Club (or the parents and their kids who spent a few minutes each morning, rain or shine, making sure the cones were set up and put away): The Akins, The Carrolls, The Cummings, The Fitzgeralds, The Selfs, The Shahins, The Thompsons, The Woodruffs and The Williams families. A special thank you to Coach Rice who was always on hand to award lots of Sports Dollars to those children who lent a helping hand setting up the cones with their parents.
